This Saturday, August 16th, Aladdin’s Eatery is bringing a taste of Lebanon to Stars Hollow! Come visit us at Stars Hollow Fest in Medina Public Square, where we’re celebrating all things Gilmore Girls and serving up some Aladdin’s favorites, like pita, fresh veggies, our house-made hot sauce, za’atar, kombucha, and our signature hummus.Â
Humble Beginnings
Just like how Lorelai and Sookie dreamed of opening their own inn, our founder Fady Chamoun dreamed of opening a restaurant featuring healthy Lebanese cuisine when he arrived to the U.S. from Lebanon in 1972.Â
Aladdin’s began with perfecting the classic Lebanese dishes, such as hummus, falafel, and shish kabob, in the same way Sookie perfected her famous “magic” risotto. But to save ourselves the heartbreak Sookie went through when a critic paired her risotto with the wrong wine (gasp!), our wine list features bottles carefully chosen and imported from Lebanon, because we’re not taking any chances.Â
Fresh, High-Quality Ingredients
At Aladdin’s, we only use the highest quality ingredients because we believe food is a philosophy. A sentiment that Sookie clearly shares (just ask Jackson). Just as Sookie would only serve her guests food made from ingredients she trusted, we do too.Â
That’s why we founded our own bakery. It all started when Fady asked the question, “How can we promise our food is fresh when we’re purchasing it from another source?” From there on out, Jasmine Bakery was born, where we make almost everything in-house, from our pita bread to our hot sauce. Â
And while we can’t make you the world’s largest pizza for your mom’s 35th birthday, we can make you some delicious pitzas that would be perfect for a “Casablanca” movie night.Â
Coffee, Coffee, Coffee!
And speaking of fresh, we brew our coffee fresh daily for those days when you need coffee in an IV. Our blend was specially created for Aladdin’s by a local roaster and pairs great with our baklava to make for the perfect post-Friday Night Dinner treat.Â
