Whoever said that moms are superheroes certainly had it right. Moms, stepmoms, grandmas, great-grandmas, pet moms, plant moms, and everyone in between – they make our world go ‘round.
One of my most cherished memories growing up was spending time in the kitchen with my mom and grandma. I don’t know if I ever really helped or if they just let me think I was contributing, but those times were (and still are) oh-so special to me. Selecting the perfect vegetables we’d picked from the garden. Measuring out ingredients (or just being told to eyeball it; When you know, you know!). Licking the spoons, sneaking a taste. Setting the table. Enjoying our extravagant meal as a family, laughing together, sharing inside jokes and stories from the past. Watching my grandpa go up for seconds, then thirds. Packing up leftovers to savor throughout the week.
I try to recreate these special days with my family as often as I can, which isn’t always easy. Life has changed, priorities shift. Which is why Aladdin’s holds a Mother’s Day celebration each year; to help us set aside some quality time to be together as a family. And to celebrate the mothers in our lives that we hold so near and dear to our hearts.

Your entree options for the Mother’s Day Special include our Chicken Shawarma Rolled Pita, Mujadara Plate, Taza Chicken Salad, Fattoush (add chicken if you’d like), Genie’s Combo Plate, or Beef Shawarma Rolled.
